Our Radio Shows

CICV.ca has several shows of different types. Here is some information about each one and links to more information for those interested. Be patient as we get this page filled in!

Monday

Dianne Coutts host “Dianne’s world of Wine” a two hour program of interviews with local Vintners, discussions about wine, recipes with wine as an ingredient. (Recipes will be posted on our web site so you don’t have to take notes during the show!) Of course there’ll be music for “little old wine drinker you” as well.

Rick Dennis travels all the way from Duncan to present three live hours of classic country music. Hank Snow-yes, Hank Williams Jr.- not so much. Give Rick a call at the station on Mondays, 2 to 5 he’d love to hear from you.

Doug and Dave, two guys from Cottonwood Street, with a passion for the Blues, present “Cottonwood Blues” 8 to 10 Monday nights.

Tuesday            

Tuesdays feature works from the Classical Masters. Each show follows a musical theme and is packed with interesting sounds Tuesday’s 7:30 to 9:30. This is  followed by Catherine Dook (see link on home page) reading from her Dock Diaries from 7:00 to 7:30pm.

Wednesday

Randy Liboiron wears two hats, he also has plans for Wednesday. Randy will soon host a two hour folk music show from 8 to 10. That’s in addition to his Saturday night extravaganza “Psychedelicatessen”. (You’ll just have to listen! Saturdays, 10 to midnight.

Thursday

Catherine Dook reading from her Dock Diaries from 7:00 to7:30pm.

Friday and Saturday

  Dermid and Dudley's Irish Pub presents good time music for a good time weekend! 8 till 10 both nights.

Saturday

Chanterelle, at 14 is perhaps our youngest DJ (who says we’re all retired old fogies?) She provides a look at today’s exciting new music. The good stuff that mainstream stations have over-looked.Chanterelle's Choice, at 5pm-6pm.

Randy Liboiron wears two hats, as well as Wednesdays. Randy hosts his Saturday night extravaganza “Psychedelicatessen”. (You’ll just have to listen! Saturdays, 10 to midnight)

Sunday

Rose Bunting gets us “in the mood” as she gives us “Sunday Swing with Rosie”, starting at 3pm Sunday.

Andrew Paterson also presents a live show. “Andrew on the Air” touches on controversial topics of the day. Do you agree with his views or disagree? Helena Poll hosts "World Beats" which plays samples of music from around the world. Anything goes from Japan to Finland to Argentina to Nanaimo. Sunday to Thursday

Frank Magrin also wears two hats. His feature “Frank Interviews with people in our Town” is heard through out each programming day. Frank has amassed a huge collection of old radio plays which can be enjoyed from 9 till midnight from Monday till Friday. And at 10 till midnight on Sunday.
