About CICV Radio
History
Some three years ago, the Cowichan Valley Community Radio Society (CVC Radio) set out to establish a Community Radio Station for the Cowichan Valley. Thanks to many volunteers and sponsors donating anything from work, chairs and plants to lodging, the CICV Radio station finally obtained its broadcast license this past July.
Present
The Society and the Radio Station now have a home in the former Ranger Station, located at 37 Wellington Road West in Lake Cowichan, one block from the United Church on a plot of land where the E&N Rail road used to run. What used to be Transportation is now Communication; live and “On the Air”.
History in the making
The Radio Station is always looking for talent: talk show hosts, DJ’s, announcers, technical wizz’s, informants, do-ers, facilitators, thinkers and generally “let’s get on with it” people. Join the team and make history.
Future
CICV is here for your entertainment, but not only that. The Station will be there when an emergency occurs to inform all of us in the Cowichan Valley about the where, what, when, who, why and how in cooperation with RCMP, Search and Rescue, Fire departments, Ambulance, Community Services and Amateur Radio operators.

Wanted: local events reporter
The station needs a reporter to keep us informed of local events in sports and entertainment: times, dates, locations and who's playing/performing. If you keep up-to-date on what's going on, please consider volunteering. (you don't have to go on-air unless you want to!)
